During a frosty morning in the valley, Kgosi and Madadh enjoy the delights of charging about their enclosure and scenting where animals have been previously. The deer take turns to enjoy the enclosure as well and so help provide interesting smells for the inquisitive wolves.
Badgers and foxes have also spent time in this area after squeezing under the main gates through spaces you would imagine a small cat would think twice! Of course the woods and hills are also full of rabbits, voles, mice and other smaller mammals providing interest and the odd snack opportunity. On previous occasions foolhardy pheasants have been observed to flutter into a wolf enclosure, been stalked and eaten.
