what people have said about Wolf Watch UK

“...I wanted to say thanks for a fantastic experience, my wife and I visited the sanctuary for a night visit on Saturday 17th March and we thought it was amazing. The Wolves are even more magnificent than we imagined they would be, and we were really disappointed that we had to leave early on Sunday, therefore missing the afternoon visit. We will definitely visit the sanctuary again; it was a pleasure to meet Tony, who made everyone very welcome and even let us play with his lovely dog, Doodle!... ”

Louise Healey, Animal Wellbeing Manager, Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition – Her Teams visit

“...I would like to say that yesterdays visit to Wolf Watch UK was brilliant. Being able to observe the wolves in an almost natural environment and actually interact and spend time with them was a magical experience that I will treasure forever. The visit was further enhanced by Tony's warm welcome and willingness to share his knowledge and amusing stories with us. He certainly is a great host. The wolves looked very content, and in superb condition and it was clear this is the priority for Tony..... ”

“...As far as Wolfwatch was concerned, I found this very interesting. Tony is obviously very passionate about what he does, and had some great stories to tell. I really enjoyed being that close to a Wolf and being in an area with them that is as close to the wild as you could get. If you have not e-mailed Tony yet please pass on my thanks for a great day. As soon as I have the photographs I will share with the team and send to Tony..... ”

“...I thought the day was great - the surroundings and his approach to the animals made the day extremely relaxing... It was really interesting to interact with the wolves but I really appreciated the fact that their status as wild animals was being preserved..... ”

“...Tony was a pleasure to listen to (and I think I could have listened to his stories all day!!). The enclosures that the wolves were kept in were really impressive, and it was quite reassuring to hear that they tried loads of different ways to 'enrich' their lives, and some, the wolves just weren't interested in!! Tony's relationship with the wolves was absolutely amazing, just watching him lifting a fully grown wolf into the air and tickling his belly like you would your own dog at home was, for want of a better word, 'gob smacking!!' It was fascinating to see a creature that is so alike in many ways to the domestic dog, and yet in others so different, and I felt nothing but respect for them. I had a thoroughly wonderful day out and loved every minute, thank-you so much!.... ”

“...Fantastic day - loved the facilities, loved Tony. It was a warm and friendly atmosphere, and I learn't a lot about wolves..... ”

“...As you can see - I think the team had a pretty good day - they were fair buzzing about it on Wednesday. So thanks so much. It was just what I wanted for them - a great day out - which they deserved, we've been working pretty hard over the last year - and as they will not let me forget - we didn't get a Christmas team do. It was also brilliant as everyone appeared to learn a lot - and of course its kind of relevant to our job. (Well better than paintballing!). So many thanks. I would like to arrange a further 2 visits for members of Dennis's team - if you could put up with us again. They will be a different type of group - but I am sure will also gain from a team visit to WWUK. I'll be in contact to try and arrange some convenient dates. Thanks again for delivering a fantastic day for the team - and for myself. I also had a great time - could visit everyday and still enjoy the experience. with best regards, Louise.... ”

“...I just wanted to send you a line to say thank you so much for a fantastic day. My brother and I were just so ecstatic about being able to meet the creature we both love so much, I never in my whole life would thought that I would have a chances to howl with wolves let alone feed them by hand.

I think this is an experience I will never forget, and I feel so proud to be apart of it and to be helping such a noble course I learnt so much I just cant say how fantastic the work is that you do with the wolf watch centre.

Many thanks and bright blessings to you all at the wolf watch centre including those magnificent wolves!

Best Wishes.... ”

“...I would like to thank you for the time you put into the visit yesterday (Sun 28th). I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think the work you have done over the years with these beautiful creatures is inspirational, especially the obvious bond you have with these animals.

I am proud and honoured to be a member of such an organisation.

Keep up the good work.... ”

Steve Chapman, member of visitor party from National Canine Defence League Centre at Roden

“...I would just like to say THANK YOU, for this chance of a life time, to get with in licking distance of a very large Alfa male, and look deep into the eyes of a nervous sweet young lady, is something very special and I am very grateful for, so once again a very big thank you.

The whole day was out of this world, and I would like to wish you all the best for the future and don't stop what you are doing, we need more people like you.

many thanks Steve... ”

“...just a quick word to say thanks once again for making us so welcome on Friday. We had the most fantastic time, and we really appreciate you giving up your time to accommodate us. I am really eager for my photos to come back so that I can see those beautiful Wolves again. In spite of the long day, and not arriving home until after 0030, I could barely sleep thinking about them and that wonderful howling... nothing prepared me for that!!

A big kiss to Madadh and Kgosi, and the jacket, by the way is now sparkling clean again! Many thanks... ”

Mrs Tara Langwade, purchased Adoption as gift

“ ...I am writing to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my mum’s birthday the best ever. I received correspondence and a visitor pass... and an adoption pack... last Thursday. I would like to express my sincere thanks to you and to all those involved for your time and help and quick delivery.

My mum is overjoyed with her adoption of Luna and cannot wait to learn more about her and visit the centre sometime. She is also delighted with the magazine subscription and can’t wait for her next issue. THANK YOU. ”

Mr Matthew Cray, Member

“ ...Just a note to thank you for my membership pack, the brilliant photo of Kgosi is already framed and proudly on our lounge wall... as a new member I’m very keen to know what’s going on... it is a good read and as a father of two young daughters, the Loopy page gave them something to relate to (and me, if the truth be known). Anyway, keep up the good work, we look forward to seeing the Wolves soon. ”

Samantha Hampton-Gray, email correspondence

“ ...Firstly can I just say how fantastic your web site is the pictures of your Wolves are beautiful. I am considering either full membership or adopt-a-Wolf for my sister in law as a birthday present... ”
